The M1 Freeway in Braamfontein, Johannesburg has been closed off to traffic due to protest action.
Aggrieved members of the largest labour union - SAMWU have blocked off the M1 in both directions at Smit Street. It is understood that the members are aggrieved, following a meeting to address some of their grievances earlier this morning.
Johannesburg Metropolice spokesperson, Xolani Fihla has urged motorists to use alternative routes.
