Ohio's Secretary of State on Tuesday said that there have been few issues so far on election day.
Republican Frank LaRose, said he is confident in Ohio's voting system.
LaRose said Ohio aims to have an "unofficial tally" by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday.
"I get the question all the time: Will we have the final results on election night? And the answer is of course not, because that's not how elections work. We never, never have had the final results on election night. What we will have is an accurate count of where we are so far," said LaRose.
LaRose was speaking from a "command center" he set up in his office in Columbus.
The "command center" is monitoring potential problems from around the state.
