Built around Cube's renowned C:62 carbon for a lightweight and stiff chassis, the German engineers have managed to seamlessly integrate the Evation 1.0 motor and battery, whilst keeping weight to a minimum. If you are looking for a road-bike but would like the benefit of a little-added pedal assistance then this is definitely the bike to be looking at. The benefit of the Evation drive system is that it can be removed, leaving in place a friction-free gearbox, allowing you to run the bike as a normal road bike. The motor itself provides 60Nm of torque and 250W of power and includes 3 assistance modes which are all selectable from a bar-mounted remote. The motor, battery and gearbox only weigh 4.7Kg which takes the Agree to a modest 13.8Kg as a complete bike! You will find the battery hiding in the downtube after close inspection, from a distance you wouldn't even know it was there! The battery provides 250Wh which has been designed to provide up to 50Km of assisted riding and is recharged in only a matter of hours, making this bike ideal for extended weekend rides, or even your weekly commute.
The bike rides just as you would expect a high-end Cube road bike to, the carbon frame and fork provide a comfortable and lightweight platform to allow this bike to go the distance, and further with the included electric drive system. A complete Shimano Ultegra groupset provides 22 gears with precise shifting that give the motor the maximum efficiency when at speed, or assisting you up the steepest of hills. Ultegra 160mm disc brakes give this bike additional stopping power to cope with the additional 5Kg from the motor, allowing you to push this bike to the limits on speed with the confidence that you will be able to stop in an instant.
The lightweight Newmen Evolution wheels mounted with Schwalbe Durano eBike specific tyres provide a solid platform that is not only lightweight and robust, but also designed specifically with an electric assist bike in mind. The Schwalbe tyres really come into their own having been designed on the track specifically for speed and include their RaceGuard technology to prevent punctures whilst out on the road.
