Hello guys, this is a short video to test how fast can be the WLToys 124017 with stock motor and 4s lipo. Because the stock esc is not 4s compatible it was necessary to replace it with a new one.
I used a Hobbywing SC8 120A 2-4s. This esc is relatively cheap compared to others capable to supply same amperage, but it's really good and reliable.
The caveat is that is pretty big and bulky, so I needed to design and 3d print a couple of sidebands to wrap it inside the bodyshell. The sidebands material is flexible (TPU). I even designed a rear wing with flat profile to reduce the downforce and increase the top speed.
Besides, I used two stock 2s lipos connected in series to supply power to the car. I did not fix camber and toe that are still factory set.
I believe that fixing the setup (camber, toe, suspensions, droop screws), with better lipo and giving the car more room to reach the top speed, there is a good margin to go faster than this.
A big warning. This video is just an entertainment demo. The motor is plenty overvolted and it's running out of the factory specifications. I just played it being aware of the consequences.

WLToys updated the electronics on 124017 to solve definitely any cogging problems.
It will come with a 2845 4300kv and a 19T pinion.
