DON'T BURN UP YOUR 68RFE/AISIN TRANSMISSION!
The 68rfe transmission that is equipped in my 4th gen 6.7 Cummins truck seems to either be loved or hated. Whether you love or hate is besides the point and there's one thing I think we all can agree on... We want to treat the 68rfe (or Aisin) transmission as best as we can so that it can hopefully live a longer happier life and serve it's purpose for us! In this video I show you the 68rfe (Aisin) thermal bypass valve kit by Mishimoto. What is a thermal bypass valve? To keep it short, the thermal bypass valve allows your 68rfe (Aisin) transmission fluid to run continuously to the transmission cooler on a 3rd gen or 4th gen 6.7 Cummins truck. I explain a couple of reasons why this is a good thing in the video and also why you would want to get rid of your factory thermal bypass valve. There are other thermal bypass valves on the market but I strongly feel the Mishimotos thermal bypass valve is the best one available for you to install your truck.
