Gharials are some of the rarest reptiles on the planet, and their species is critically endangered. Their narrow snouts are specially adapted for hunting, containing sensory cells that help them detect vibrations in the water. Here at the L.A. Zoo, we’re always trying new methods of 'enrichment,' giving all the animals opportunities to learn skills and stay agile.
