On the afternoon of October 2, we rode a short excursion on the Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad out of Tyrone, PA. A little sun had managed to part the clouds briefly, but they appeared to be regrouping as we waited for the excursion train to arrive. Finally, well-dressed GP8 1602 appeared with its train. This was actually a push-pull operation, with North Shore GP38 2004 out of sight on the other end.
Missed non-rail photo opportunity - the Tyrone station platform had a pay phone in a really funky late-60s/early-70s egg-shaped blue enclosure on a pole, with a heavily rusted but still visible Bell Telephone logo.
