Kashmir is all set to get its first multiplex after three decades. It will be thrown open to the public in September. The multiplex located in Srinagar's Shivpora area will have three screens and a total seating capacity of 520 people.

The multiplex has been designed by INOX with a touch of Kashmir. The traditional 'Khatamband' ceiling and paper mache designs have been incorporated into the design.

There were around 15 cinema halls in the valley in the early 90s but all of them were forcibly closed by terrorists.
