I often take a sweetener as straight up powder before eating something with sugar or other simple carbs. Why would I do that? Because the sweetener I take is allulose. It blunts the glucose spike reducing the insulin response. That’s a good thing! And it tastes just like sugar. No after taste. A non-nutritive sweetener doing double duty—sweetening with essentially no calories, and muting the impact of any actual sugar consumed with it. You gotta try this. Look for it in the baking section with the other sweeteners.
