A 330d bmw I have in my ownership
Got for a good price , bought it in daytime everything was fine....then the evening time I did a commute with the headlights on obviously and what do you know THIS happens while driving along or stopped at traffic lights etc

Turned out to be a bad alternator which was a £40 fix as I got a good working one on ebay and fitted myself.

If you do not have the mechanical knowledge to do so then it's no more than a hours labour to 1.5 hours at tops at a garage or mechanics place DONT BE CONNED WITH EXTREMELY HIGH LABOUR TIMES
