In 1986, developer Tom Heilbron gave course designer Arthur Hills over 200 acres in central Kentucky to create “18 masterpieces”. He set about transforming the land that was once a working horse farm into a work of art. Patterns of stirring holes were designed to create a rhythm for the player where nothing but golf mattered for a few hours. For generations now, the Champions course has welcomed many to the pleasures of the game. In 2018, The Champions Course at Keene Trace Golf Club welcomed the PGA TOUR back to the Bluegrass.
