In this video, we meet with Jason Cross from Cross Engineering to look through their Elephant Beet Washer.
Cross Elephant Beet Washer is equipped to de-stone, wash & chop beet. This machine was first invented as a HGV towed machine and is capable to by towed at speeds of up to 90 km/h. The on board engine meant no tractor was needed when arriving at the job site. Recent years have seen the development of the tractor pulled Elephant. This is the same machine without the fifth wheel attachment. All Elephant washers have a 1,000 mm wide web which helps with its increased output compared to the Rhinos 650 mm wide web. The Elephant can be used for the dirtiest of beet crops to ensure clean and safe cattle feed and also clean samples for anaerobic digestion. This Washer also has a pre-cleaning feature which helps the water last longer per cycle. The Elephant has the ability to remove 100% of the stones in the beet crop. The water in the Elephant can last a lot longer than most of the beet washing range due to the water cleaning system as the machine works. Drive options include Engine, PTO & Electric.
