Since breaking my back in 2018 I haven't been able to play sports like Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey. I needed to find something that was easy on my back but also allowed me to get some more exercise. It took me a couple of years before I decided to take up underwater metal detecting. It started by wanting to clean up some of the rivers, lakes, and ponds around the state of Maine.

Now it's the only thing I want to do.

This is one of the best places to Swim, Kayak, Fishing, or do any other type of water sports in Maine, the water is pretty clean. The swimming area does have a lot of Fresh Water Mussels so be sure to wear water shoes or dive boots.
