The COVID-19 disease has hit older adults harder than other age groups. Older adults are more likely to already have underlying chronic conditions that we now know raise the risk of severe COVID-19 symptoms and COVID-19-related death. Public health officials have taken a number of steps to slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce its impact on older adults. These new guidelines have resulted in significant modifications to community-based social support services and long-term care programs. Local experts will discuss how these modifications are working and they may change the future of care and support of older adults. Certificates of Attendance will be available for webinar participants.
