Myself and Brian hike a small mountain (In Kwaen) only 10km outside of Kanchanaburi, Thailand. In Kwaen mountain is virtually unknown amongst tourists but it's a great little day hike within easy distance from Kanchanaburi town centre on a motorcycle or even a tuk tuk or motorcycle taxi.
It starts at Wat Khao Chong Sadet and ends up by a strange rock that seems to be precariously balanced at the top of the mountain. 'Kwaen' means to be suspended in Thai language. The trail starts off easy enough but ends in an exciting scramble near the top.
