Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari spoke extensively on road accidents. While speaking at the India Economic Conclave, Gadkari said India ranks number one globally in road accidents fatalities. He listed four major factors which lead to road accidents including enforcement of law and human behaviour. Gadkari said he tried hard to reduce number of accidents in past 10 years but they have increased.
