The Pacific University Symphonic Band presents "Hello 2021!" — a virtual concert celebrating the new year.
The 54 student band members have submitted recordings that have been mixed and mastered to create a high-end virtual concert. The seven performance pieces were selected to celebrate a new year. They include:
▷ The prelude to the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet, performed by the woodwind choir
▷ It Don't Mean a Thing by Duke Ellington, performed by the saxophone ensemble
▷ The folk hymn When I Can Read My Title Clear, performed by the brass choir
▷ Playing With Fire by John Luther Adams, performed by the percussion ensemble
▷ Trois Pièces Brèves, I. Allegro by Jacques Ibert
▷ Presto Scherzando by Haydn, performed by the woodwind choir
▷ Amparito Roca, performed by the full band
