In this video Julia Gillard presents the first of two keynote speeches at the launch of the REAL Centre at the McCrum Lecture Theater , Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge.
Julia talks about the history of free compulsory education in Europe and compares this to world wide statistics today. Julia states that although evidence shows incredible progress in the accessibility of free education worldwide there is still a lot of work to do in the worlds poorest nations and the importance of the REAL Centre in helping the most hard to reach children fulfill their true potential.
