It all started with a trip to the World Cup. Richard Schreiner knew then that he wanted to learn Spanish to broaden his horizons and communication capabilities.

He turned to UWM-SCE and completed his Spanish Certificate. With his new skills, Richard improved communication, efficiency and morale with staff in Mexico by eliminating the need for interpreters. He also founded the first Spanish-speaking Toastmasters group in Milwaukee -- a proud accomplishment for this bilingual SCE alumni.
