The Standard Gauge Railway is expected to bring good tidings for the country but Matangini villagers in Makueni County are unhappy.Their lives changed after heavy machinery used to squash raw materials for the railway was installed in their village.
Apart from the noise and health concerns, a school that has served the village for 34 years had to be relocated to give way for the crusher. NTV's Sharon Barang'a spent some time with the villagers and filed this report.
