I was looking forward to trying out the SYOS (shape your own sound) mouthpiece, and I finally got hold of one. It sounds great, but I don't think it is as effortless as everyone says. For me, it required a stiffer reed. Anything softer, and it does not sound quite as nice. It makes me work very hard. That being said, I like the piece and will probably continue to use it.
