Enough for 8 to 9 people
INGREDIENTS:
tbsp. = Tablespoon
tsp. = Teaspoon
------Ingredients for the Kabuli Palaw -------
4 Cups (UK) Basmati Rice that were soaked in warm water for 30 min
7 – 8 tbsp. Sunflower Oil
5 Onions Thinly Sliced
Whole Spices (2 Cassia Bark, 5 Whole Black Peppercorns, a teaspoon Cumin Seeds, a teaspoon Whole Coriander Seeds)
1.5 kg Full Chicken Large Cut
2.5 tbsp. Green Cardamom Powder
2.5 tbsp. Ground Cumin
1 tbsp. Black Cardamom Powder
2.5 teaspoons Ground Cloves
1 tbsp. Ground Black-Pepper
2.5 tbsp. Salt.
Half Cup of Water to Deglaze
Then you need 6 Cups of Water in which the chicken will cook
------Ingredients for the Dressing-------
4 to 5 Carrots Julienned
Half Cup Black or golden Sultanas (You can also use raisins)
4 tbsp. Oil
2 tbsp. Sugar
2 teaspoons Ground Green Cardamom
