JRM plays King Henry VIII in the sexy Showtime series. King Henry VIII was married to Catherine of Aragon. During his marriage to C of A, he was having two affairs - one with Emily Blount and the other with Mary Boleyn. Some years later he met Mary's sister Anne Boleyn and divorced Catherine to marry her. Three years after marriage, he beheaded her for adultery (can you believe it!) and married Jane Seymour who died of childbirth fever. After Jane's death, he remarried three times. He beheaded two wives and divorced one. No big surprise, if King Henry VIII was as sexy as JRM, women would have married him even if he was a serial killer!
