Ingredients
Step 1 :
Green and Black Raisins (Kishmish) - 1/2 Cup
Dates Chopped - 5 to 6
Chopped Nuts (Cashew, Almond, Walnut) - 1/2 Cup
Dried Cranberries Chopped - 10 to 15
Dried Prunes Chopped (plum) - 3 to 4
Orange Juice - 250 ml (1 Cup)
Can Use Any Juice/Rum/Brandy for Soaking
Soak the Dry Fruits and Nuts in the Juice for 3 to 4 hrs or Overnight
Step 2
Jaggery Powder/Cubes - 1 Cup
Water - 1/2 Cup
Melt the Jaggery Completely and Cool it down Completely
Step 3
Cardamom (Elaichi) - 3
Cloves (Lavang) - 4 to 5
Nutmeg (Jaiphal) - Small Pc
Cinnamon (Dal Chini) - 1 inch
Crush and Grind the Spices Nicely in a Mortar Pessel
Step 4
Take a Big Bowl and
Add the Melted and Cooled Jaggery
Refined Oil (Any flavourless Oil) - 1/2 Cup
Whisk them Nicely
Next take a Sieve and add
Whole Wheat Flour (Gehun ka Atta) - 1.5 Cups
Salt - a Pinch
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Ground Spices
Sieve everything Nicely
Gently Mix everything with a Spatula using Cut n Fold Method
Add the Soaked Nuts and Seeds and make a thick batter but of pouring consistency.
Next Grease a Baking Tin with Oil and place a Parchment paper. Brush some oil on top and pour the prepared batter
Garnish with Nuts of your choice
Bake in a Kadhai at LOW FLAME for 55 to 60 Mins
OR
Bake in an Oven at 180 degree celcius for 45 to 50 mins or till done
Let the cake cool down and enjoy!
