The entire shooting of film Border took place amidst the vast desert of Bikaner. This was the same place where the Indo-Pak war of 1971 at Longewala took place. And this film was also based on the same war. Along with this, during the shooting of this film, real army soldiers also participated, and because at that time there was no VFX. So things like army tanks, jeeps and ammunition shown in the film were used from the help of the Indian Army and were real Indian Army equipments.
