The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced the suspension of their scheduled strike following a meeting with the Federal Government.
The discussions, held at the Presidential Villa, addressed the issue of fuel subsidy removal. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chief of Staff to the President, revealed that an agreement was reached, resulting in the establishment of a joint committee.
This committee will review proposals for wage increases or awards and establish a framework and timeline for implementation.
