The Indian indices opened marginally higher amid weak global cues today.
The Sensex was down 43.09 points or 0.06 percent at 78,156.02, and the Nifty was down 5.15 points or 0.02 percent at 23,702.75. About 1282 shares advanced, 1218 shares declined, and 107 shares unchanged.
Dr Reddy's Labs, ONGC, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Consumer were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Trent, Shriram Finance, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco, JSW Steel.
