Three tips on how to improve your playback speed in DaVinci Resolve:

1. Change your timeline proxy resolution
2. Turn off color and fusion effects with the rainbow sparkle thingy button.
3. Change the timeline settings from 4k to 1080p

All of these things combined can significantly improve your playback speed and speed up your workflow in DaVinci Resolve
