The Mizithres, small and big, are two very tall, conical and white rocks in the middle of the sea, located exactly under the lighthouse in Keri. They got their name from a local cheese called Mizithra which is produced in Zakynthos (Zante).
In the village of Keri, built 200m over the sea, on the edge of a cliff, you will find the Keri lighthouse. It is a tower, 9m high that was built in 1925 to help the passing ships avoid crashing into the sharp rocks in this area.
From here, you can enjoy one of the most scenic and magical views of the sunset and the Ionian Sea as well. You can also see the Mizithres, the two tall white sharp rocks sticking out of the water that mark the beginning of the Keri Caves.
The white colour of the rocks, the crystal blue of the sea, the sharp cliffs which are typical on that side of the island and the green mountains create an amazing sight of nature that must be seen to be believed.
