Under these conditions of economy, inflation is going to increase very much in upcoming days. Inflation rate will badly affect the common man of our society especially farmers and persons belonging to farming community. First of all, we should pray to Allah Almighty to shower his blessings on us to face such harsh economic melt down. Then we should find a way forward to maintain the growth and production of wheat crop that is starting a few days ahead. In these volatile conditions, many farmers are unable to fulfil the needs of wheat crop at initial sowing stage. They are asking a solution so that they can miss the fertilizers at sowing and may use some of the quantity at later stages of crop. So, in this video, we have suggested some solutions of this problem that include some alternate acidic fertilizers that can be used in lesser quantity and will save our important money. Good thing is that dap, diammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate fertilizer has not been recommended in this plan. This plan starts the fertilizer application from first irrigation. Then some other fertilizers at later stages. There are also problems of availability of fertilizers now a days. Specially, fertilizers containing phosphorus are also becoming short.
For better wheat production, 12 to 15 Lac spikes are thought to be complete. Wheat continues to form new tillers upto two months after its sowing date. Twenty percent to thirty percent tillers are considered infertile. This video is about the suggestions about how to increase fertile tillers. Tillering plays a vital role in better production of wheat. Tillering represents the growth and development of wheat crop. This year, weather is not cooling down and the temperature has not dropped to optimum required levels that is necessary for better tillering in wheat crop. After one week, there is a weather forecast of cold weather that will help the sown wheat to develop maximum tillers. A major cause of lesser tillering is the lesser or no use of phosphatinc fertilizers like dap fertilizer (diammonium phosphate) at sowing time. Application of phosphorus and irrigation will enhance tillering.
1st two weeks of November are considered as the most suitable ideal time for wheat planting this year. In view of heat wave that prevailed during March and April 2022 during ripening process of crop, we have been stressing to plant wheat crop earlier this year than the previous years. We have closely observed temperature regime of Punjab from south to north and concluded that wheat sowing should be launched in most parts of central to north Punjab with the exception of Multan, Bahawalpur, Raheem Yar Khan, Sadiq Abad and Liaqat Pur area. Planting should be launched during the 1st week of November in these areas of extremely south Punjab. North Punjab is fully suited for October planting of wheat crop.
Early sown crop avails much of the time up till ripening so that it may become more productive in respect of yield. An early sown crop which will be given proper fertilizers like dap fertilizer (diammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate fertilizer), sop (sulphate of potash, sulphate of potash, potassium sulphate fertilizer, sulfate of potash fertilizer) and also the major quantity of urea, will be able to get record production rate if weather becomes favorable.
