The landfall process of ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ Cyclone Yass began around 9 am Wednesday, the IMD said. Heavy rainfall and strong winds hit the Odisha and Bengal coasts as the storm moved towards the coast. The Indian Navy and Indian Air Force are, meanwhile, on standby for rescue ops.
