The fabrics I used to make this little scrap project were sent to me as a freebee along with some other vintage fabrics I purchased on Etsy. Here are some other options for "precious" fabrics that you can use to make these simple little blocks:
Old men's ties (stabilize the silk before sewing)
Bits and pieces of Liberty of London fabrics
Old clothes and lace pieces.
baby clothes
Leftover fabrics from other projects that you love.
All solid fabrics for a graphic effect
It has taken forever to get this video out to the world! I shot this back in the spring - and after filming the entire process I realized I had used the slow motion setting on my camera! I am very new to shooting video so this is was clearly a learning experience. Next one will be better :) Although I was still able to use the footage, I think this affected the quality of the video. Hopefully you will still enjoy following along and maybe making your own version.
