1959 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Roadster Convertible - American sportscar classics - with engine start exhaust sound. Hello and welcome to the Car Acceleration TV Channel. The Chevrolet Corvette C1 is the first generation of the Corvette. The car was built from 1953 to 1962 and revised several times optically and technically in this period. Since its release many features to the current generation of Corvette C7 were retained. These include the 1955 introduced "small-block" -V8 engine, the fiberglass bodywork and the four typical round taillights, which were introduced in 1961.
