Wat Thiphaya Waree Wihan was built since the ThonBuri period in 1776.
The reason for this name is because within that temple there is an ancient holy well known by the villagers as the Well of the Spirit. It is a spring that never dries up. And this well has been with the temple since the temple's construction.
