Hello Everyone! Today I will be doing a pearl cell flip cup with a dutch pour in the center. I had this idea of doing a flip cup on both ends with a dutch pour through it but decided in my last video that I needed to leave well enough alone (partly to the small length of my canvas) BUT in this pour I followed through on my original idea. So this one really made me KNOW that with pour painting or fluid art that you have to be willing to experiment AND be willing to throw your own ideas of what you THOUGHT your painting was going to look like RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW and just GO WITH THE FLOW!!!
This one was actually very challenging for me because I just couldn't envision how the final result was going to be but I guess that's half the fun! In my last video I left it feeling like I did too little but in this one I'm not sure if I did too much??? I'm definitely my worst critic and ALWAYS critiquing myself..minutes, hours, days, weeks, months...even years after I have completed a pour. Honestly...I'm not mad about it. It has definitely helped me to grow into the artist I am today and continues to help me grow and evolve. You know that this is art therapy for me and I hope it is for you as well.

Materials I used in this demonstration:
12"x36" Deep Edge Gallery Wrapped Canvas (ARTIST LOFT LEVEL 3)
Amsterdam: Titanium White, Sky Blue Light
Pebeo Studios: Iridescent Blue Green
Golden Fluids: Prussian Blue Hue
Modern Masters: Gold Rush, Venetian Blue
Pourage Posse Paints: Knockoff
Colored Pearl Recipe (not used in this pour):
4 parts Behr Satin Enamel Deep Base 7753 Scuff Defense OR 2 parts Behr Premium Plus Deep Base 7300
3 parts US Floetrol
2 parts tube paint or 1 part fluid paint (to tint)
1.5 parts Golden Gloss Color Pouring Medium (Or 1 prt GAC800 & 1/2 prt Liquitex Pouring Medium)
Water to thin (approx 4 parts depending on Behr satin enamel ratios)
White Pearl Cell Recipe (used in this pour):
2 Pts Behr Premium Plus Deep Base 7300 or 1/2 pt DecoArt Satin Enamel White
1/2 part Artist Loft Paint
1/2 part Apple Barrel White
1/2 part Liquitex Titanium White
3 Parts US Floetrol
1.5 Parts Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss (or 1 pt GAC 800 plus 1/2 pt Liquitex Pouring Medium)
Water to thin (approx 2 pts)
Pouring Medium for PUDDLE/POUR OVER/DUTCH POUR paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800 (or Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss)
Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 5 pts PM and water to consistency (tube paint approximately 1 part water, fluid paint no water) (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc)
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.
