We all have dreams, desire and drive and to accomplish them we should need a lot passion in this life, but do you know we can also take advantage of our disadvantages to be able to achieve a lot of things in our daily lives. Listen to Mr Sirhajwan’s talk to understand more. Sirhajwan Idek is an English language teacher at Keningau Vocational College. He became the first Asian to win International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Excellence in Teaching Award in Paris on September 2017 and became the first Sabahan to be in the Top 50 finalists for Global Teacher Prize in 2017. He also won two global awards for English language educators, Macmillan Teachers at my Hearts 2016 and Express Publishing IATEFL in 2017. He was the recipient of National Teacher Icon award in 2017. His passionate in getting his students to develop their self-esteem and abilities and unleash their talent and ideas. He first started with training the school team to win the English debate tournament for the first and this success became the first of the multiple accomplishments of his students in English language competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship contests.
