Both Switzerland and Liechtenstein have an ethnically German majority, but unlike Austria and the parts of Czechoslovakia inhabited primarily by Germans they were not anschlussed by Germany during World War 2.
This is because Switzerland and Liechtenstein were neutral, were important trading partners, and provided financial services to Germans and German companies. They also do not possess any significant natural resources and would have been hard to invade because of the mountainous terrain. However, Germany did have plans for an invasion, code-named "Operation Tannenbaum". These were pushed back multiple times because the military forces required for their execution were needed elsewhere.
