The wonderful aroma of Greek food cooking and music playing filled the air at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. Festival season has returned.
The drive-thru and pick-up event held all this weekend in Upper Darby brought in the fans, families, and friends to enjoy the time-honored tradition. Tents around the campus, along with a bar and a Greek-style convenience store known as a bakaliko, gave you the feel of Greece. Tables filled with smiling faces and void of masks were a nice change, as a sense of normalcy has nearly returned.
