In this episode of DJs BrewTube I bring you a review of Mexican beer while on vacation / business in Mexico. In this video we will review Cerveza Victoria. Cerveza Victoria is a Vienna Lager that is produced by the same brewery that brings us Corona and Modelo, Grupo Modelo / AB/InBev. I've never had Cerveza Victoria but have decided its time to dive in after so many trips to Mexico. Lets see how this vienna Lager stacks up with others I have had. Enjoy the show!! My written review follows:
Cerveza Victoria WRITTEN REVIEW:
A- Cerveza Victoria pours a medium reddish-brown. Clear, with one finger of tightly packed kaki white head. Poor retention, decent lacing - a really average looking macro beer. No alcohol legs observed or expected
S- Grainy malt, corn, caramel, wet cardboard deep and rounded out by some very faint floral hops. No alcohol is detectable in the aroma.
T- Follows the nose. Grainy malt, corn, stale caramel, metalic lager taste rounded out by some very faint floral hops. No alcohol is detectable in the taste.
M- Crisp, light and fizzy, easy to drink with a SUPER watery, thin body.
O - Cerveza Victoria is no mind blower by any stretch of the imagination. This said, it is well made, has an o.k. amount of flavor and is quite easy to drink. I will not seek this beer out again or drink it unless offered by a family member or friend.
