MBD for ANSYS can be very beneficial for analyzing of the design of the components of a robot arm. The forces acting on the components of the arm can be accurately predicted in a simulation of the dynamics of the robot arm system.

Using MBD for ANSYS, the dynamics of the entire system can be simulated. The complex nonlinear interactions caused by contact and joints between the various parts of the robot arm system can be captured in the forces acting on any component. Then MBD for ANSYS can directly transfer the loads acting on any component into a structural analysis model in ANSYS.
