I was fishing a bass tournament where the winds were 15-20mph sustained, and I pedaled over 5 miles trying to find a clear place to fish. I feel so amazingly safe in my Hobie Lynx no matter what conditions we encounter, and these waves were no problem whether I hit them head-on or let my Lynx sit broadside to them. What I think of as the "surfboard-like design" of the Lynx means it just rides up and over the waves unless I'm pedaling into them in which case the bigger waves will break over the nose of the boat. I keep all of the stuff that lives on the deck leashed on retractable and/or bungee tethers so it doesn't get washed overboard. All this awesomeness and only 47 pounds so I can easily car-top my Lynx! 💕
