Actors and actresses often love to go the extra mile on their films, but sometimes it can come with a cost. We have frequently heard about the stars of your movies injuring themselves on set, be it from stunts gone wrong or a freak accident, but sometimes these battle wounds become everlasting. Even times when something seems more minor or harmless can have some very long term repercussions for these movie stars. In order to accurately portray the famous televangelist Tammy Faye Baker in the film The Eyes Of Tammy Faye, star Jessica Chastain had to undergo so much makeup and prosthetic work that she claims that it permanently damaged her skin! Angelina Jolie gained a scar right above her nose while performing what she called a ridiculously easy stunt on the set of her 2010 action thriller Salt. Even our beloved Tom Hanks believes that his diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes was from his weight fluctuating due to the physical commitments in his roles in Philadelphia and Cast Away; at least he earned an Oscar for one of those roles! Sometimes the costumes these stars wear can be so uncomfortable that it injures the performers! That was the case with Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan as the corset she wore frequently on set damaged her ribs, but that did not stop her from winning multiple awards for her role in the show! While many of these actors and actresses might debate about whether these permanent wounds were worth it in the end, it certainly makes for one heck of a story!
