We should see to it that there is no scope for ego or attachement.
One should not look for the results or rewards of one’s own actions to oneself.
One should not have ego that one has done it.
One should not give any scope to the ego of ‘I’ and the attachment to ‘mine’.
Everything is Thine (God’s).
I don’t have anything for myself. Nothing belongs to me.
One should think that every action, every thought is an offering to God.
Only such people will be able to realise and experience the glorious and magnificent Divinity.
All our spiritual pursuits are only to attain God.
You don’t need to attain God.
The very fact that you are born as a human means you have attained God.
Human birth is the rarest of all living beings.
Every human form is Divine.
God is in human form.
So you don’t need to attain God separately.
We have to know the Truth and conduct ourselves with full awareness that God is within us.
Then where is God?
God is not in some outside world.
Not in a temple. Not in a field.
God is not in some place of pilgrimage.
God is present in one place. The altar of the human heart.
Divinity permeates the entire creation.
God is the Divinity that shines brilliantly in the altar of every human heart.
We forget that God is thus present within us, and we run after various centres with the imagination that God is elsewhere. This is a sign of ignorance.
God is the nearest, closest to us.
However, you should do certain things so as to please God.
Whomsoever you serve, consider that as service to God.
The Upanishads said, ‘Whomsoever you salute, it amounts to saluting God’.
You may do Namaskaram to anyone, it amounts to doing Namaskaram to God. God is the recipient of that salutation.
Not only that, rejection or denial of anyone amounts to denial or rejection of Divinity.
Good and bad are the results of our own actions.
We think of sin and merit.
Sin is not present in a foreign land.
Nor is merit present in a foreign land.
It is attached to one’s own activity.
Everything is related to one’s own actions.
The good and bad that we experience is the result of our own actions.
So we should undertake good actions and make every effort to realise Divinity.
