Breaking News - Liz Truss has vowed to "get Britain moving" as she defended her plans for the UK economy during clashes with Sir Keir Starmer at her first Prime Minister's Questions.
The Telegraph Associate Editor, Camilla Tominey gives her commentary on how well Truss' debut PMQs went.
Ms Truss claimed the Labour leader "doesn't understand aspiration" and "doesn't understand opportunity" after he criticised her proposal to scrap a planned hike to corporation tax.
Sir Keir said that while the "face at the top may change" the "story remains the same" as he told Ms Truss "there is nothing new about the Tory fantasy of trickle down economics".
But Ms Truss hit back and said: "There is nothing new about a Labour leader who is calling for more tax rises. It is the same old tax and spend."
She added: "I am afraid to say the right honourable gentleman doesn't understand aspiration, he doesn't understand opportunity, he doesn't understand that people want to keep more of their own money and that is what I will deliver as Prime Minister.
"I will take immediate action to help people with their energy bills but also secure our long term energy supply. I will take immediate action to make sure we have lower taxes and we grow the economy and that way I will ensure we have a positive future for our country and we get Britain moving."
