Unboxing the 951 engine that was rebuilt by Dan Fairchild at FULLBORE for this 1998 Sea-Doo GTX Limited.
Engine was sent to him in December 2020 and rebuild was purchased for $1395 paid in full and in advance, as a Christmas special he was having, where it was promised the engine would be done by spring (March/April).
March/April came along and engine was not done. Kept getting the runaround from him. Every week it was some excuse like "waiting on some part", and "it'll be done next week".
Got excuses like this for 5 months until the engine finally arrived at the end of October.
Over 10 months and a broken promise to meet a spring deadline as promised per his Christmas special. I have screenshots of all the messages back and forth.
If you have 10+ months or a year to wait for a rebuild, send your engine to FullBore.
If you want your engine rebuilt and done within 2 months or even less, send your engine to Peter Rucinski at Fox Valley Powersports in Illinois. He does great work and delivers on his promises as well as standing behind his work!
I have had Peter at Fox Valley rebuild me two 951s and two 717s, all within a timely manner, great communication, and excellent support.
Hit Peter Rucinski of Fox Valley Powersports up on Facebook for all your Sea-Doo 2 stroke needs. Tell him GC-EXTREME sent ya.
