Khewra Salt Mines was the first stop, where students marveled at the beauty of one of the oldest and largest salt mines in the world. Guided tours introduced students to the history and significance of the mines, the unique rock formations, and the intricately carved salt structures, including replicas of famous landmarks. They learned about salt extraction methods and observed how natural elements had shaped the mines over centuries.
Next, the group visited the Katas Raj Temples, a historic Hindu temple complex. Here, students were immersed in the cultural and religious history of the area, learning about the sacred significance of the site, which dates back thousands of years. They admired the ancient architecture and reflected on the importance of cultural preservation, gaining insights into Pakistan’s diverse historical landscape.
The final destination was Kalar Kahar, a scenic valley known for its serene lake, natural beauty, and rich biodiversity. Students enjoyed a relaxing time by the lake, surrounded by breathtaking views and the area’s distinctive flora. They took part in outdoor activities, picnicking, and exploring the natural surroundings, which served as a perfect conclusion to a day filled with learning and adventure.
