This is a 1:30.0 mm:ss.s lap on street tires - the car performed quite well although it was hard to avoid sliding around in the stock seats when pulling 1.1-1.2g in the corners. Threshold braking was a bit quirky as well as the car would get a bit unsettled at the limit - it made transitioning to cornering from braking a little less smooth and precise than I would have liked.
It is interesting to compare this car to my 83 GTI on the same track that was quite a bit faster overall - mainly due to increased cornering and braking forces, not top speed - so with the GTI it was possible to carry more speed thru the corners and onto the next straightaway.
I will use an OBD bluetooth diagnostics adapter with Harry's Lap Timer next time to get the RPMs and gear selection displayed on the overlay.
