Eventually it happens! Your old Tesla Model S goes out of warranty - and then it breaks.
We are used to this from old ICE cars, but what happens when an old EV needs a repair?
My old 2013 Tesla Model S (P85 Performance) is usually super reliable, but it finally broke down the other day. I checked with Tesla, and they wanted a very high price to repair it - much higher than I expected!
So I decided to try to fix it myself, in my own garage. How hard could it be? If it worked, I would be saving a LOT of money, but I had never worked on an EV before, and I'm only mildly mechanically inclined. Still, saving big money was huge motivation for me, so I attempted the repair myself. Was this a recipe for disaster? Watch as I try it @MatArmstrongbmx style!
