🔹 More than 340 trucks visit the landfill per day on average, a 40% increase from 2017.
🔹 Annual tonnage has increased 30.9%, to 337,465 tons, over the last seven years.
🔹 The gas from the landfill is converted into energy at Gaston County's Renewable Energy Center across from the landfill. In 2023, the Renewable Energy Center produced energy equivalent to 39,785 barrels of oil, or energy to power 3,344 homes.
