Which Dice System Is Better? [D20&D6]
There are many gaming systems out there with multiple ways of resolving in game instances and conflicts. Most can recall of the top of their head the D20 dice system for games. Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder were many people's first intro to these styles of games.
But there's more than just the D20 system! In the first part of a two part series, Matt and Justin discuss the properties of the D20 and D6 gaming systems and pull from their background what they generally believe to be true about the majority of the dice systems these games use.
The D20 system is usually level based and requires many sub rules to allow the player to use all their dice. A D6 or general "D" system tends to allow simpler mechanics in the sense that there are a lot less dice rules to worry about.
This is no means an exhaustive review of every little detail as well as a catch all for for all the games that use the dice systems , but it's a great look into the basics of those dice systems.
